Everyone knows I love this time of year!  The colors, crisp nip in the air, pumpkins, Halloween candy, imagination, indian corn, trick or treating, pies and everything that goes along with the start of the holidays!  I LOVE it all!  Usually, my home is fully decorated for Halloween this first day of October. However, this year, our home is on the market (believe me I feel my clients pain) so I have had to contain my eager spirit on this  A LOT! As much as I LOVE to go berserk in the name of all things Hallo, not the best way to sell your home with orange and black creepies all around including tombstones in the yard.  So, a few tasteful decorations have been placed and I'll go extra crazy next year…my husband will be thrilled!

There is so much to do this time of year on the island.

Here are my favorite not to be missed activities:

-Weekends beginning October 1st Suyematsu Farms:   The best pumpkin patching you've ever seen, indian corn, squash, etc.  Even a corn maze for the little ones and a tractor ride if you wish!  Don't forget to get your picture taken with Jack Sparrow!

-Monday 10/8 from 8 am -1 pm Bainbridge Fire Department Pancake BreakfastGreat experience for kids complete with rides on the firetruck!

-Friday 10/19 and Saturday 10/20 6-8 pm  18th Annual Pumpkin Walk at Bainbridge Gardens:  The Pumpkin Walk is a fun, festive, family-oriented event hosted by Bainbridge Gardens for two nights every October. The proceeds of this popular, non-scary event benefit the Bainbridge Island Boys and Girls Club. There is no admission charge.  Hundreds of people of all ages come to walk along Bainbridge Gardens’ historic Nature Trail, glowing with a grand display of nearly 300 lighted, carved pumpkins.  For many families, the Pumpkin Walk has become a Halloween tradition. Kids enjoy winding through our Harvest Hay Maze and jumping in the inflatable Bounce House. You can have your picture taken with the “Great Pumpkin” (he gives out candy too!) or tap your toes live music from "Strings Du Jour'.  The Bainbridge Island Boys and Girls Club provides face painting and carnival games with prizes
